Feeds in My Reader

I have enjoyed a lot of the feeds in my reader.  Some of my subscriptions I will probably never spend a lot of time reading, but others are excellent.  Here are a few that I really enjoyed:   http://weblogg-ed.com/2009/what-did-you-create-today/ and others by the same blogger.   I also enjoyed: http://teachclever.com/2007/07/16/use-this-quick-memory-hack-to-remember-when-you-cant-write/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+teachclever+%28TeachClever%29&utm_content=Google+Reader.  There are lots of good entries at this website or is that a blog site?

I really appreciated the info on my NPR feed and this is one of the pieces that I think is worth sharing:  http://www.npr.org/blogs/health/2009/11/rice_krispies_claim_immunity_b.html.

I watched the video on how to put these links into my blog, but the two tabs at the top of the page in the tutorial video never popped up when I tried to do this.  I could use some help with this from anyone who can help me resolve this.  Thanks.

By the way, starring my favorite feeds really helped me to read the things I wanted to look at.   It also helped to find things quickly when I wanted to go back for them.

Here is one more nifty feed to check out.  It’s about timers that you can have on your computer screen or project onto the board in the classroom.

Be still my heart…..like I said before, I could not find the tabs shown in the tutorial, but I figured out how to make a word (classroom) become the link to the website!  OH MY WORD!   I DID IT!!!!!!!  WOW!!! I AM SO IMPRESSED WITH MYSELF!!!!!  I can’t believe I actually figured that out…that was so empowering and now that it is after midnight I think I have fulfilled this assignment!

Nothing is perfect, including the video tutorial! I wonder why it isn’t loading correctly for you, but to no avail, you figured it out anyway! This is actually one of the things I love about technology the most. There is always some annoying problem where something isn’t working. Like a dog with a bone, I like to wrestle with the challenge, and I feel soooo spectacular when I figure it out!

You are going to have to become a mentor in your school when you finish this class–you would be great at helping others with all these 21st Century Learning skills:)

Who would ever dream of me becoming the mentor for technology!?! I still embrace a well sharpened pencil as an exciting writing tool! I feel so resistant getting into technology and then I jump into that very cold “pool” and once I get swimming and warm up to the ideas I become a long distance lap swimmer!
